I've decided to loose weight.
I use to be pretty trim - well, for my height and musclularity at least. Thing was, it wasn't too noticable. I tell people how much I weigh and they're like "WTF? Really? Holy shit you hide it well?"
I do hide it well, which is the problem, I know I"m fat and before getting myself a case of Diabetes or I suffer an MI I've decided to do something proactive.
I started doing pilates, but had to stop after I developed a damn hernia. I went to physio for back pain and found that my abdominal muscles are exceptionally weak whereas my back muscles have been compensating and as a result are freakishly limber and strong - my back hurts a lot because of this.
So, I found a weight loss/ladies gym programme which is exactly what I'm looking for.
Since other people have started blogging their weight loss shenanigans I thought I"d take up their example and do the same - plus it might keep me honest - not that anyone actually reads this stuff. Though I have pointed my friends in this direction.
My cholesterol is fine, my BP healthy, all bloods normal, so before the shit hits the fan, time to do some work.
I'm 174cm and weigh 118kgs. People honestly don't beleive me when I tell them that. My chums and family are like "Nah, you're not fat" - and truely beleive it.
Medically, I am. The lady at "Healthy Inspirations" (the weight loss programme) said that I was correct when I worked out my ideal weight would be between 75 and 80kg, so I'm aiming for that mark, but the thought of losing 40kg is a bit much - didn't think I could.
But I can and I will, especially since as the cheap arse I am I wanna reach my goal weight ASAP (healthily though). It's costing 29.90$ a week, and was 99$ to join, down from 250$ or something cos it was a leap year special - so I took that as a divine sign.
I'm on a detox diet at the mo which involves a lot of vegetables, protein and cheese/fats - I really hate cheese, I haven't eatn this much in, well, ever, cos I hate cheese. My allergies to fish, egg, soy, most diary and nuts means finding that right balance of fats and protiens is a pain in the arse - which feels smaller, BTW.
I hate cheese.
I go on my eating programme tomorrow, so hopefully, no cheese, or limited cheese.
I have to go at least three times a week and do a special gym circuit, which I really like doing. I like using those big machines - and one of the beneifits is my back is feeling better cos I"m building up my abs!
Of course, I'm going to have to buy a crap load of safety pins to hold up my pants because I'm too cheap and won't buy new clothes until I've lost the weight - so in a year or so.
Its a women's only programme, so I don't have to worry too much about my modesty cos there's no men (there's some machines that work limbs in an immodest fashion), and because it's not a "real" gym pa se, there's no ladies who look like men, or those body builders.
The weight slowly piled back on when I moved from that place that took me an hour to walk to school, now I live 8 minutes round the corner, that and just being really lazy with my food stuffs.
And pies. I will miss, thee, pies.
So, here I go, loose this damn weight that people are shocked I have.
